Privacy

coincidates is a daily history puzzle. It has no accounts, no sign-up, no cookies and no ads, and it doesn't sell or share anything about you.
What's stored, and where
Your games, your statistics (played, streaks, results against par), your theme choice and whether you've seen the help are saved in your own browser, in its local storage. They never leave your device and we can't see them. Clearing your browser's site data for coincidates deletes them.
What the site's servers see
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address and basic request details (such as the page asked for and your browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Other sites
- Portraits. After a game, the results can show small portraits. They load straight from Wikimedia Commons, so Wikimedia receives your IP address when they do. See the Wikimedia privacy policy.
- Links. Names link to Wikipedia and Wikidata. Nothing is sent to them unless you follow a link.
- Sharing. Share copies a short text to your clipboard or opens your device's share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you.
The font is served by coincidates itself, not by Google.
Children
coincidates collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
